Allergic To That TOO

Filed under: Uncategorized — Thyre @ 7:17 am

So I alluded to my newsletter folks a while ago to my food sensitivities/intolerance and how it’s been a royal pain in the boot.

Just so we’re on the same page, Im talking about an intolerance or sensitivity not a full on allergy, although I will refer to it as an allergy form time to time.  The difference being I shan’t die or have any severe and or sudden hazardous consequences from eating these things, just what I am going to call “offness”.

Back in November I took a small blood sample and sent it to the lab for analysis and found that I’m “allergic” to a few key things.

Rewind!

I have known for a long time that certain foods just don’t sit well with me, this is that offness that I mentioned.

Whenever I wanted to do something physically or mentally demanding I would avoid the foods that I knew generated said offness.

I always thought one was wheat, so I avoided bread; as well as thinking one was minimally processed dairy, so I avoided milk and yogurt although I still ate cheese.

Now let’s define the offness.

For me I noticed whenever I ate bread I would sneeze a lot, or when I had pasta or pancakes I’d get a runny nose. When I ate more than one sweet treat I would get itchy.

Just kind of figured it was a sugar and wheat thing.

Turns out my sensitivities are for dairy, eggs, and yeast. (there’s more but these are the relevant ones for this message)

So yeah, do me a favor and look through your pantry and then think about everything you ate yesterday and planed on eating today, can you tell me if there’s any yeast, eggs, or dairy involved?

Oh. In everything you just looked at and thought of.

Yeah, soooooooo.

What that means is for the next few months I can’t eat jack until my body figures out that all those foods are not a sleeper cell ready to attack me.

Moral of the story, be aware of how your body reacts to different foods.  If you really sit back and analyze you might find some food intolerance in your diet as well.

Seriously though, I would highly recommend checking it out for yourself….I got the kit from Amazon and sent it in for about $110.

Nearly forgot the best part, after cutting out the foods I’m allergic to I’m down about 6 pounds in 2-3 weeks!

Check it out HERE and have a great week.

If you’re like most people, you want to start the year with great intentions to make this the year that you really hit your health and fitness goals…

But you may not know where to start and after just a few days in you realize you don’t know what you’re doing and you feel and look worse.

For the next couple of weeks, we are offering a sale on our training in the form of the New Year 6 Week Fitness and Transformation challenge to the first 30 action takers (new clients only).

I’d like to help you along with your family and friends lose 10, 15 or even 25 pounds and 5-10 inches so that you could win some awesome prizes!

Tina

This New Year Fitness and Transformation Challenge is going to be much more different than any other weight loss program or fitness program you have ever tried.

I’ve designed the program to overcome the main fail factor…YOU.

Haha, not trying to be a jerk here, but it’s true. During this 6 week challenge you will have a team.

You can bring in your own team of 3 or I can provide you one.

The reason you’ve got teammates is because we as humans will allow ourselves to fail if it’s just about us. But when you throw another person or two in the mix, you push a lot harder because you don’t want to let them down.

The Challenge will be based on a point system. You and your team will accrue points based on various factors including coming to your training sessions, eating properly, getting stronger (specifically passing level test exercises), and of course fat loss.

If one of you does bad, it affects all of you. But it also works the other way around when you do good:-)

Now I know what you may be thinking…

  • You don’t have any time to get in shape
  • It’s been difficult to stick to a fitness routine
  • You hate running on a treadmill for hours with no results
  • You’re not really sure how motivated you are
  • You don’t know where to start

At Training By Tye we’ve got all that covered.

Your workouts will be done in a small group setting which makes them fun, motivating, challenging AND it keeps the cost of the program affordable. So you get all the RESULTS you want for a fraction of the price!

With our Metabolism Energizing effect you can achieve Quicker Weight Loss in 45 minutes or LESS a day in an Exciting, Fun and Non-Intimidating atmosphere.

On the last day of the challenge you might even have the chance to show off your new level of fitness by participating in a Fitranx Level Testing Day.

Holiday Survival Tips

Filed under: Uncategorized — Thyre @ 1:21 pm

Okay, so we know it’s quite typical for other people to put on their “winter coat” during the holiday season, right?

Well that’s so not going to be you!

You’re a Tyetan and I’ve got you covered with a few of the top things NOT to do during the few weeks between the myriad of holidays late in the year.

First up we tackle holiday parties. You know you’re going to go, I know you’re going to go, so lets figure out how to make it work for us and not against us.

hungry plate

1-  DO NOT GO TO HOLIDAY PARITES HUNGRY– put a little something in your belly, mainly protein. If you’re not starvin’ like poor proverbial Marvin you’re not likely to eat the entire bread basket and all the hors d’oeuvres as well as yours and your neighbor’s entree. This way you can have a little taste of everything you really want and enjoy the rest of your night.

If you go in hungry then you’re going to have about 5-6 servings of everything (this is coming from the girl who ate 6 cupcakes at her sisters 40th birthday party after 3 slices of pizza.. not proud but hey, things happen when you’re hungry).

Along similar lines (but definitely not the same) we get into the age old alcohol question. To booze or not to booze? (No I am not suggesting you get slammed before you head out to your festivity)

2-  DO NOT DRINK LIKE A FISH– now I would never tell anyone to not drink at any get-together or party, but you just cannot get hammered, capiche? Cool cool. Just nurse a glass of wine or 2 all night and be sure and get some water in too.  Also your best bet is to have your drinks after you’ve already eaten. As you know alcohol induced food choices are hardly ever helpful to your health.

After alcohol, the next thing that will jump up and get you during this stretch is all the insanely delicious looking sweet morsels from the devil.

3-  DO NOT EAT TOO MANY SWEET TREATS– if you think  Im going to say don’t have any, you have lost your ever loving mind. Get your dessert on!dessert table

BUUUUUUUUUT and you must follow this big but so you don’t have one (did you see what I did there), but check out the whole spread and have just the 1 or 2 treats that look like they would rock your socks off.

Not just that, build it up in your mind about how amazingly amazing it’s going to be and then savor Every. Single. Last. Crumb. of the 1 or 2 items you’ve chosen. No matter what anyone says about any other item you tell them the one you ate was so over the top insanely scrumptious that everything else will pale in comparison.

And then you’re not tempted.

Boom! You got to eat your junk and still not tempted, I call that a win-win son.

Now for our LOBO, that means Last One Best One add that to your Tyecabulary (along with tyeceps and of course the infamous heard). We still have to put in work.

4-  DO NOT SKIP YOUR WORKOUTS– the best way to earn the previous 3 tips is to get your workouts in. If you are busy, like most of us this time of year you can still get a 20 minute workout in at home using bodyweight or bands. You could walk briskly while shopping and carry everything instead of using a cart, or whatever, just lift something heavy and get out of breath.

I can totally help you with that too. As a matter of fact…

Food Drive

Filed under: Uncategorized — Thyre @ 5:40 pm

Training By Tye group personal fitness training in Rancho Cucamonga will hold a food drive at the studio on April 9th to collect food for GAP Food Bank of Rancho Cucamonga.

The GAP Food Bank provides basic food items to nearly 400 families here in the community each week. The GAP provides over $2 million in food each year and the primary source of revenue is free-will donations.

Training By Tye group personal  fitness is ready and willing to not only help an amazing organization, but one that our very own Tyetan Tina holds near to her heart.

The need for food is high this spring! People typically donate around the holidays which is why we wanted to wait until after Easter for our awesome first food drive of 2016.

Food Drive Fly

Current Tyetans can donate all week and we’d like to see everyone you know get involved in hunger relief by making a food donation on April 9th, and then join us for a fun 30 min group training workout.

A food collection bin will be located in the front of the training studio for items such as canned meats, vegetables, pastas and fruits and boxed goods.

We will be receiving donations from 7a until 10a on Saturday April 9th.

Anyone who donates is invited to stay for the group workout as our way of saying Thank You for helping us WORKOUT A SOLUTION TO HUNGER!

Please share this, the Facebook post, and FB event to all your friends so we can set the bar high for future drives.

In addition to donating to the food drive people can also make a monetary donation or volunteer time at the GAP food bank; More information is on http://gapfoodbank.org

Valentine’s Sprint or Marathon?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Thyre @ 7:54 am

A lot of people did the Valentine’s Day thing yesterday in which they gave and received extra attention.

But let me ask you this, is that only time you give or receive extra time, attention, and gifts?

How would/does it make you feel if/when you only got 10 days a year of time and attention?

I’m going to guess that you said it doesn’t.

You have to water your relationship daily and do a little something something every now that’s unexpected.

That’s the exact same way your should treat your fitness and health journey. Water it everyday!

Like getting the proper amount of water, eating lots of fresh vegetables, and protein with every meal.  You don’t need me to tell you that, you already know right kiddo.

But then sometimes you have to add that “little something something” like one of our challenges to “spontaneously” push you closer to your goal.

You can’t go full tilt all the time and on the same note you cannot be lax all the time either.

Be consistently good with the basics 80% of the time and allow yourself some indulgences (like Valentine’s day yesterday), and then go 100% for a short period of time, like our 5 week blitz happening now.

Just go back and forth between 6-8 weeks regular (80/20) and 3-6 weeks super focused (100) and you will reach your goal without all of the drama and weight gain of the psychos that go 100% all the time and then fall off a cliff into a vat of chocolaty marshmallowy goodness.

Anyway, just hope you had a great weekend.
